Hello, Roomie!

Last month marks the beginning of my second year living in this Sharing House and just last week, a colleague of mine decided to live with me and the reason why she gave up her place which literally 30 steps away from our office due to the building is having a major renovation. With all the noise throughout the day and night, her panda eyes is less than a concern compared to the hygiene and security issues with third of the building had been teared open. With that, after leaving my university days for more than 3 years, I'm having a roommate again and I welcome her with arms wide open.

When it comes to transportation, we usually take bus in the morning and went back by UBER or Grab; ride-hailing services. As we both usually take heavy food during the day, we don't cook for dinner though I actually already bought extra plates and mugs for her but it's okay as we do use them during weekends.

I have to say that it's gonna take awhile for me to get used to having someone in my room as I usually hang out at cafe after work while she went straight home.We totally lead different kind of lives and as I already know her as we work together the past year, she's pretty much the same in the office and while at home. She's chilled and relax. It's sort of amazing to me how she's not for lack of a better word, nosy unlike my previous roommates (oh, that exclude a Japanese roommate I once have in first year). No matter how late the time I arrived home, she didn't say anything. Or how I binge-watch drama deep into the night and feeling sleepy throughout the next day.

All in all, things are rather fine when it comes to us living together. We totally have nothing in common but we sure have love for cute, sushi-looking Big Apple doughnuts. Though it's just our first few weeks, I'm pretty sure it'll be okay for the upcoming months. Maybe even years?

I'll catch up with you guys next time!

Supreme Ayam Penyet Cafe, Putatan, Kota Kinabalu

So we were craving for some spiced chicken recently and my brother just happened to know a new place in Putatan, Kota Kinabalu.

The place is located near Servay Putatan so just drive around the area of the new shoplots. The design of the cafe is quite unique so it's easy to spot.

Onto the interior design, I do like it as it feels like a cafe instead of your usual family restaurant. They don't take orders at the table so you need to go to the counter and place yours.

The portion is quite abundant for a RM12. The chicken is indeed so tasty and it's nicely cooked. There's no weird smell or anything which I noticed a lot in regular ayam penyet. They serve cutlets of eggplant and tempeh along with the white rice. The sambal is really nice too! It's spicy so don't tell me I didn't warn you!

The restaurant is nice overall for simple family occasion and hanging out with friends and I do like the nice ambience in the restaurant.

I guess that's all for now. Do check out their Facebook for updates on special events like Live performances during the weekends.

Until next time, bye!

New Year Dinner at Sushi King, Suria Sabah

Few days ago, I kicked off the year of 2017 with my favourite dish from Sushi King which is Black Pepper Udon and filled myself up with a bowl of mushroom soup. Of course, the Japanese way.

Though I noticed they actually reduced the black pepper in this one so I'm actually kind of disappointed. Still, the taste is the same just less spicy. Oh, it actually came with cutlets of deep fried chicken so please excuse its "disappearance". :P

I was gonna get some snack or something but the mushroom soup seems nice to just balance my dinner. Ever since living in the rent house, I'm somewhat influenced by my housemates whom always eat with watery dish like this one.

Yesterday, I decided to have another dinner at the restaurant so this time I went with Sashimi and Tenpura Set that comes with raw salmon, prawns, chicken and vegetable tenpura. Of course, it's a set that includes white rice and miso soup.

Dal.Komm Coffee, Suria KLCC

After going through 2 weeks of craziness at work, I decided to take a week off with my parents to KL, accompanying my dad while mom was meeting her friends. Of course, I can't just ditch dad and off to my friends so we spent some quality time, walking around Suria KLCC, doing some shopping... only at the end of that day I realized it's like when I'm hanging out with my girlfriends. :D

We took a break at this Korean cafe instead of our usual spots i.e. Starbucks and the place is called Dal.Komm Coffee. If you didn't know, dalkom means sweet in Korean.

Nunpat Dessert Cafe, Imago KK Times Square

I've been continuing my search for the next flavour I want to feature after the last Flavour Crush post but what can I say. My interest is still going on towards Green Tea.

A friend of mine introduced me to this Korean dessert cafe in Imago KK Times Square and I gotta say, I'm already making plans for future visits.

If you didn't know, this cafe is actually a sister cafe to Beans N Beans. Even the menus are actually the same. The only difference is the interior. Beans N Beans has much darker interior and as Nunpat is located at the outside area of Imago, there are more natural lighting that comes into the store.

As I've been wanting to eat the Cheesy Egg Ham Tortilla from the last time I went to Beans N Beans, I ordered it again.

The highlight of this visit is definitely the Green Tea Bingsu (shaved ice)! There's red bean paste (which is perfect) plus that vanilla ice cream that's truly a cherry on top. I heard that the Green Tea powder used in the Bingsu is brought from Jeju island. Whoa~ I really love it as it's not too sweet and if you're obsessed with Green Tea like me, do give this a try!

I decided to try the Croque Monsieur as well as they're having 20% off if you're taking it together with a Bingsu. Do check out the store for more info on this.

Until next post, annyeong~
