Sharing House 2.0

The last time I lived in a rental house was back in 2009.

As commuting to my work place is quite time-consuming with mum having to drive me 6 in the morning to avoid traffic and pick me up in the evening right after work, I figured it's better to just get a room to rent that isn't so far from the office.

So I went on Mudah.com and listed out like 10 possible places to rent and went for room hunting yesterday. The first place was Chanyai Villa in Likas. It's about 20 minutes walk from my office and it was a small studio apartment with 2 girls looking for a third roommate. The whole place was a mess and it's so hot in there. We went to the next location right after.

The next place is actually a double-story house in Taman Likas and from the look of it, all my neighbors probably have been living in that neighborhood for more than 30 years if not a third generation at least. The windows are made of old-fashioned grilled with wooden panels, the switches are yellowish, probably aged 20 years, there's even old air-condition on the wall...

But I decided to choose that place as it's only 15 minutes walk from the office and the house is actually quite nice. I haven't really meet my housemates yet so hopefully all of them are good people.

Hopefully.

First Week On the Job

Wow.. I haven't update this blog for more than 2 years? That's not fair. Reason why I'm trying my best to divide my blogging time into several other blogs - my personal blog, my beauty blog, my architectural blog, and this then-university life blog so I guess it's official that this blog has become my work blog.

I won't be posting stuffs like you might want to open a Law dictionary in order to digest certain things I do but instead I'll be posting about what I've gone through throughout the time I'm working here in this electrical and mechanical company working as Administrative Assistant.

The story of how did I get this job is truly the simplest one you might heard. My dad is the partner in business with my current boss. So, I actually have my dad as my boss. Sounds great one might say but I dare not as my dad is probably one of the most impossible person to work with I ever know in my life.

I swear to God I'm not trying to make my dad look bad, I promise. The reason I said that it is definitely because my dad is very particular on so many things, has his own style of relaying messages that sometimes I feel like he's been living in other planet for quite some time, being inconsiderate of my feelings for most of the time, hardly listen when I complain, and lots and lots of other things you can't even imagine.

But all these cray cray things he do when we talk about work has taught me one thing for sure and that has made me if not a better person than I was, slightly improved in terms of handling client.

All the crazy things he do has made me more calm whenever I encounter an overly fussy customer which is actually the most common type of client you see in our field of business.

The pressure is there of course but the way my dad treats me has made me better at handling my stress.

If you're familiar with how contractor works, then you could probably can imagine the stress when you're working on governmental contracts. It's much more cray cray I can say. Sorry I can't find a better words as my mind is definitely off watching a movie in my head as I'm listening to movie soundtracks right now. haha

So yeah, that's all about it hopefully for now. Having Internet access during the lunch hour is definitely a plus. I hate eating lunch downstairs after having pasta on the first day, merely vegies on my second day, KFC on my third day (don't tell mum) and since I bought bunch of cookies and biscuits from supermarket next block, I feel so lazy to climb down and up 6 flight of stairs merely for lunch.

I'll see you guys next post!

Fruito Juice Bar, Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu

It all started when I saw the model in one of my favourite Korean variety show, Roommates made healthy juices for her roommates in the morning. Lots of greens and fruits so I was really curious of how it actually tastes.

As we're celebrating my younger bro 20th birthday, we took him to dine at a nice family restaurant where I had Chicken Chop. The taste was so savoury and spicy hence I felt like I needed to cleanse my palette.

I was walking down the Gaya Street when I discovered a juice bar which is common when I was living in KL but definitely not here in KK.

I decided to go with Apple Detox which contains Apple, Spinach, Ginger and Lemon. The taste is indeed as if you eat raw vegetable but the hint of lemon zest gives me the help I need to get over the raw taste.

There are many other mixes of juice that you can try at the bar. I specially love detox mixes so that's why I went for it. I have to admit, there are lots of info to digest on which drink you wanna go for to complement the need of your lifestyle so do visit the juice bar at Gaya Street or in 1Borneo Hypermall for more.

But of course you can go to their Facebook page to see their latest offer on Detox Program.

Until next time, take care!

Of Cherry Blossom and Rose Gold Colour

It's the end of February and I just love the Spring palette for this year with pink and golden rose colouring my favourite things.

I've been a a huge fan of The Body Shop's Japanese Cherry Blossom line for so long, proven by only the Body Butter left for me to use as the Body Mist and Shower Gel had finished months ago.

I've picked up Solinotes Fleur de Cerisier (it's Cherry Blossom Flower in French) from Sephora 2 weeks ago and I've been wearing it almost everyday since then. Unlike TBS Japanese Cherry Blossom, Solinotes' has a fresh citrus hint to it so I love wearing it especially in the afternoon.

The Apricot Blossom Hand Cream from Innisfree is a new addition to my hand cream tray (yes, I have array of selection of hand cream that I placed on a pink 2-tier cupcake tray that I bought from Daiso) and I do love the scent plus it's really hydrating for my hands.

Of course, my favourite beauty magazine, FEMALE Malaysia. I've been buying since 2009 and I'm still a big fan of how they curate their selection of beauty products and fashion pieces. That Burberry Prorsum dress for the cover is currently being featured in major beauty magazines which makes me really curious about it's real pink colour as different mag shows different shade of pink until I found this. Oh, I wish I can find that colour on fabrics here in Malaysia.

Other than that, I'm also busy collecting pink containers from Daiso that apparently sold out at my nearest store which is in Suria Sabah. That's just the lid there. I'm gonna see whether 1Borneo store still hold some stocks. It looks so pretty on my vanity!

I got that Cherry Blossom Starbucks tumbler from Seoul, South Korea I think end of last year. It's from Starbucks Korea Spring collection. My I only regret is it's only Tall size. Meh. it comes with a mug though. Love them both.

When it comes to pink, of course I'm not forgetting some items from Etude House. I have more of them other than just the puff and a fluffy ball pen but... I'm not gonna feature them in here. hahaha

So that's all of it! I started doing Monthly Favourite on my all-about-beauty blog last month and it's kinda fun to do flatlays.

Oh, wait! One last flatlay~

Okay, toodles!

Year 2016.

Last year was... hard. The past 6 months are just difficult for me to talk about.

I tried my best. Did I? Maybe it's not enough. Maybe I should try harder. Maybe I should stay.

But, I'm here. Thinking why I am such a coward. Didn't fight for myself. For our future.

Will this year going to be better? Is my birthday for this year will be better than the past 5 years?

Will I ever find the one thing that I'm searching for?
